Where to find CSE's unique ID?

If you are using the googleSearch (CSE) component that allows you to add the Google Custom Search Engine (CSE) to your Joomla site, you will need to enter CSE's unique ID.

So, where do find this CSE's unique ID?


Locating CSE's unique ID

  1. Logon to your Google Adsense Account.

  2. Goto manage page: http://www.google.com/cse/manage/all

  3. Click "Control Panel"

  4. At the last row, you will see Search engine unique ID. This is your CSE's unique ID.

  5. Note that there are 2 types of CSE unique ID:

    • partner-pub- + 16 digits + ':' + 11 alphanumeric characters
      e.g. partner-pub-1234567890123456:o82mia-gptl

    • 21 digits + ':' + 11 alphanumeric characters
      e.g.123456789012345678901:xizweh6fvfq

Hi i installed this component, and never worked but today i was reading again and realized i never add to the component the uni ID as this document say, now is working perfet, the only thing is that i don't know how to show the google search box text in color, because appear in black and white.

When I added the CSE's unique ID without the "partner-pub-" the results don't appear, I just get an error page.
My ID is all numbers anyway, there are no letters in it...

Hi everyone, I have fixed this box issue, it was just the formatting in adsense.
