This is the module version of the googleMaps plugin.

This module allows you to include one or more google maps in a module position.

Very Important: This module makes use of the googleMaps plugin. So please make sure you have installed this plugin too for this module to work.

1. Download and install the module.
2. Publish the module.
3. Go to Modules Manager and click on the module.


4. In the Modules Parameter, enter the Google Maps definition in the field Content. e.g.

Amazon.com, Inc.~
1200 12th Avenue South~
Seattle, Washington 98144-2734~
Tel: (206) 266-1000

{googleMaps lat=47.5923005 long=-122.3172946 zoom=12
label="Amazon.com, Inc.~1200 12th Avenue South~Seattle, Washington 98144" 
width=160 height=300}

Note: ~ will be replaced with <br />. For Joomla 1.0, you do not need the <br />. For Joomla 1.5, you will need to manually enter the line break.

5. The syntax of the menu items definition is exactly the same as that of the googleMaps plugin. Please refer to the article.

   The plugin works fine, but not the module
   

   I only see the {googleMaps addr="1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View CA 94043"} code

   You can set it in the tag. e.g.
   {googleMaps lat=37.4219720 long=-122.0841430 control=GLargeMapControl3D
   maptype=G_HYBRID_MAP} }

   one cuestion more to quit the search bar and a map scale, I no display this (sorry for my bad english)

   In the tag,
   
   1) To hide the search bar, use: addgoogle=0
   
   2) To hide the map scale, use: addscale=0
   
   3) To turn off overview map, use: addoverview=0
