Problem
You would like to display gif, jpg or png images in a GtkTreeView as shown below:
Solution
- Set up a pixbuf column with GtkCellrendererpixbuf.
- Use GtkCelllayout::set_cell_data_func() to add your user-defined cell-display function.
- In the cell-display function, load the image with GtkImage::new_from_file.
- Display the image with
$cell->set_property('pixbuf', $pixbuf)
Sample Code
The following image files are required by the sample code below. Please save a copy of the image files and put them in the same directory where you store the sample code.

Output
As shown above.Explanation
The above sample code is based on How to display a 2D array in GtkTreeView - Part 5 - get user selection?.
What's new here:
- Set up the GtkCellRendererPixbuf.
- Load the red ball for $qty<10. Load the green ball for $qty≥10. Then display the image with
$cell->set_property('pixbuf', $pixbuf)
