Problem
We have seen how to display alternate row colors in Part 3.
Suppose now you would like to display the treeview in alternate column colors as shown below:
Solution
Setting up alternate column colors is much easier than setting alternate row colors.
- Test for odd and even column, and set the background color accordingly by setting the property of GtkCellRenderer::cell-background.
- This can be done during the setting up of the treeview column.
