Installed the Google Search Component and received the following after trying to do a search:

Bad Request

Your client has issued a malformed or illegal request.

How can I fix this problem?

Sorry for the late reply. Can you please show the URL of the page where you have the search field?

Need to do an actual search to take a look at the output of the search result and the complete URL of the search result page. These will give more clues as to where might be the problem.

It works, isn't it.

What I've done is that I've removed the cx field.

So try going to the config page and empty the first field "Custom Search Engine's unique identifier (cx)". It should work.

So please double check your Custom Search Engine's unique identifier (cx). It's usually in the format 000455696194071821846:reviews, or
partner-pub-1234567812345678:1smy9a-qdjr

If it's the second format, you need to include the string "partner-pub-" too.

If it still doesn't work, if you do some googling, you will see that a possible likelyhood is that the adsense account has been black-listed by google. And the only way to find out is to check directly with google.
