up down scroller still strips html tags 1 Year, 3 Months ago

The up down scroller works great but it still strips html tags from the content. I use Joomla version 1.6 and no text editor. I think I have the settings correct as I don't have any problem entering tags and javascript in articles and modules.
Can someone please advise?

Hi Rusty,
Can I confirm that
1) You have installed both the up down scroller plugin and module.
2) The up down scroller plugin works ok within an article - including the HTML tags.
3) The problem you mentioned only occurs when you are using it within the module.
Are the above correct?

Thanks for the quick reply.
1. Yes I have installed both the plugin and module
2. Yes, it works great in an article with the HTML tags. The tags are not removed when I save the article.
3. Yes, the problem only occurs when using the module. The text scrolls great but the HTML tags are always deleted when I hit save.
