Hi,
This is my first post here. Google search brought me here.
I just installed both component and module into my site (based on Joomla 1.5.14). It worked great n I loved it, but I thought It was not quite compatible with my joomla since search result table exceeded the width of Frenzy Shopper template, so I Uninstalled both.
I, then found this site explaining it in details how to set the parameter etc.
So, I decided to reinstall once again hoping that I could fix the width of the search result exceeding my template border.
Unfortunately I stucked and installation halted with these messages :
* JFolder::files: Path does not point to a valid folder or the folder has been deleted.
* JFolder::folder: Path does not point to a valid folder or the folder has been deleted.
* JFolder::files: Path does not point to a valid folder or the folder has been deleted.
* Error! Could not find a Joomla! XML setup file in the package.

Please help. I really need this search engine.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
You can see that all the errors are from the joomla core modules.
Looking at the error message, it seems that the error is just that you've pointed the installation folder to a folder that is not the googleSearch installation folder.
Would suggest that you download the installation zip file one more time and try again.
Also, please do it one by one. Set up the component first. Make sure it works. Then install the module.
Let me know if the error is still there.
Regards,
/kksou
