Hi Diana,

Please follow the instructions in the following post first:
Re:Getting the plugin to work

If it still doesn't work, let me know what you've tried, and what was the result you get. Need more clues to know where might be the problem.

Hallo kksou,
I am a very new Joomla user and i'am working on my first site.
my knowlidge of HTML and CSS is very poor.
what i want is to use the Drop Down Menu Apple style on the top position (user3,under the header of my site), like this:

menu1 menu2 menu3 menu4
menu item1
menu item2
menu item3
I have Joomla 1.5.12 and windowsxp and Win internet expl.
and made a template with Artisteer2 and loaded it into Joomla.
I have installed the plugin of DDMA style.
At this moment i'am very confused about all the technical things and I would appreciated it very much if you or anyone could write it down for me, step by step, how to go further.
I know I ask a lot but the Menu looks very good to me to use on my site
(sorry my poor Englisch because I come from Holland)

ragards,
Meindert

Hi guys?

Could someone please explain to me how to make this work with a Ja Zibal template. The template can be downloaded from here:

http://rapidshare.com/files/112496621/ja_zibal_j152_v11.zip

I'm using Joomla v1.5.11, with windows xp sp3.

I have read the tutorial but there are things I don't understand. For example, in the first step - to use the plugin, use the following syntax.
[DropDown_Menu_Apple_style]
... menu items ...
[/DropDown_Menu_Apple_style]

From where do I use this syntax?

I have created a menu called about us and I want it to reveal a drop down with 4 or so more clickable links which open up new articles when clicked.

I have installed the plug-in and enabled it so if anyone would just help me out by stating where to do what I'd me might grateful. My knowledge of css and html is not bad so I'm just looking for some guidance and clarity. Please?

Thanks.

Note that this is a plugin. It's for use with an article - and NOT with a CSS or template file.

So first create a new article. Then add the code above into the newly created article - yes just copy and paste into the content. Save the article and load the article. You should be able to see the menu right inside the article.

Re:Getting the plugin to work 4 Years, 5 Months ago Karma: 0
hi, I installed the plugin and created an article with the code and the menu appeared, its not exactly where I want it and it looks a bit strange, it takes up alot of vertical room on the page and the menu is a bit distorted, what I wanted to do was make the menu appear at the top of the page right underneath the existing banner, now it appears in the content area of the page, does anyone know if this is possible? maybe by pasting the code into the html of the main page, I did try that but then I only saw the code on the webpage instead of the menu bar

regards

Spikey

Hi Spikey,

1) Please try it on a fresh install of joomla and see if it works.

2) If (1) works, change the default joomla template to yours and see if it still works.

3) If (2) does't work, but (1) does, then it implies that it's your template causing the problem. You might want to tweak your template css file to make it work. Every template is different. So it's difficult for me to help you here.
