I requested a new Google Maps API key for your plugin as a few days ago the maps stopped working. I entered the new API key in the Google Maps plugin parameters but now I am getting a warning froom Google that my API key is not valid.
I tried to download another copy of the plugin and install it over the last one but that's giving me an error message and it will not install so I aborted that.
Can you help me out?? This is reallly urgent.
I'm using joomla 1.5.

Hi,

The latest googleMaps plugin uses google maps API v3, which does not require the use of googleMaps API key.

That's why you can use googleMaps even from your local machine.

Please make sure you are using the latest version of the googleMaps plugin and run it without entering the API key.

Please give it a try one more try and let me know if it works, ok?

Note: You may need to uninstall the old version of the plugin first before you install the new version.

If you have problem uninstalling the old version, please let me know.

Thanks for your kind help.
I have one test site which runs this and is nearly an exact copy of my live site, there uninstall, reinstall worked fine and maps show.
However when I did the exact same procedure on the live site it doesnt. Which is strange. I even repeated the procedure and still no change.
I erased the API key in the plugin and I didnt notice any change, I still don't have maps. there should be a map here: http://www.dolcevia.com/nl/italie-reizen/regio/abruzzen . I've refreshed the cache many times and still nothing.

I get this message on this page:
