Problem
This example achieves exactly the same as that of How to drag and drop between 2 GtkTreeViews - Part 3 - left to right with insert?
The only difference is that it now supports dragging and dropping with insert in both directions (i.e. left to right and right to left) as shown below.
Solution
Please refer to the explanations in How to drag and drop between 2 GtkTreeViews - Part 3 - left to right with insert?. The technique used is exactly the same.
Sample Code
Important Note: This only works for PHP-GTK2 compliled with gtk+ v2.10 and above. Explanation
We make use of the code from How to drag and drop between 2 GtkTreeViews - Part 2 - in both directions?
What's new here:
- Get the drop information.
- Get the path and position of the drop information.
- Check whether it's on, before or after the row.
- If it's on or before, we insert into the current row.
- If it's after, we insert into the next row (i.e. current_row + 1).
- If it's not on, before or after, we append the item to the end of the treeview.
