Hi there
im having no luck getting this Mambot to work with Joomla 1.0
I have followed the instructions.
Installed the Bot,
added the trigger, and created and published a module.
all I get is the code showing:

Hi,

If you see , it means your trigger is not working at all.

Please take a look at the following post:

Problem - mosloadposition for section description

Please follow the entire thread, especially Post #271. Add in bp101 and bp102.

Let me know if you see "bp101" and "bp102" (e.g. Post #447 by boreus in the same thread on page 2).

Regards,
/kksou

It definitely means that your trigger has not been called at all.

In that case, please email me the content.html.php that you have modified. I will check if you have added the trigger in the right place.

Please look through the thread. You will be able to know how to find my email.

Regards,
/kksou

p.s. by the way, can you please go to Plugin Manager, for the row "loadmodule for Section/Category Description", what is the number that you see in the column "Order"? (Also, please make sure that it is enabled.)

In case you're not aware, when the order is set at 0, your plugin will not be processed.

Please change it to 1, or any other integer that you like, and let me know if it works now.

We need to first try to narrow down where's the problem first.

Can you please try this on a fresh install of joomla?

As to the reason why, please refer to the following:

That's good. At least we know that it works.

The point about testing a new plugin on a fresh install of Joomla is to see if it works at all on your environment, which you have just did.

The next is to start adding your other plugins/components/modules one by one.

Note that I'm not asking you to rebuild everything from scratch. That's not the point.

All you need to do is to install and enable the various plugins (on that fresh install). What we are interested is to see which one will cause the conflict. So you do not need to do any config for any of those plugins. The entire process should take less than 30 minutes.

Once you have pinpoint where the problem lies, you can then go back to your original joomla setup to fix the bug.

Hope this helps.

/kksou
