This is in response to Bob Weaver's post to convert Sameh Fakoua's Joomla Content Obfuscator to Joomla native 1.5.

Description

JosObfuscator tool is a very powerful mambot (Plug-in) to prevent automated systems, spammers, email hunters and even regular human copy from being theft your emails and content.

or example {joso}Joomla{/joso} your visitors will see "Joomla" but when they copy and past the content they will see:

"j@^N4oI-*4Vs`~@}6WagjnBwohDl}s^`rx0(pV3.hfcJe^Ho7+ahwm"!

Anti Span / Anti Email hunter / Prevent Copy!

Very Important: Be aware when using JosObfuscator for the whole content, the search engine crawler will SEE the encrypted test "fjsXfjfksk@2w984@3897492" instead of plain text visible by your visitors.

A valuable and important plug-in for protecting content

Many thanks to kksou for converting this for use with Joomla! 1.5. This plug-in goes a long way to protect text on your site from being used by others in ways you didn't intend or don't want. If your text is copyrighted this will help prevent theft of it. In my opinion this plug-in should be part of the regular Joomla installation.
The only reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars out of 5 is that this plug-in doesn't seem to obfuscate text for all the browsers that are out there. With an older version of Safari (1.3.2) the text was still copyable as it appears. Maybe with a newer version of Safari it is obfuscated. Someone on the Joomla web site said it doesn't work with Opera either. But it works great with Firefox - the text is readable but if you try to copy it, you just copy gibberish. And according to other posts it works with Internet Explorer. This is a great piece of software to use if you don't want people copying, e-mailing or re-publishing text that you wrote or you have on your site. Thanks to both the original developer and to kksou for making it Joomla 1.5-compatible!
