In TinyMCE WYSIWYG Editor when i save the below code it

Now is: <php echo date('Y-m-d H:i:s');?>

It saves as Now is:.

when i run the page it just shows the Now is:.

Note: I already published the Directphp in my site.

How to fix this issue.

Can you please try this on a fresh install of Joomla first to see if it works at all?

Also
1) Please make sure the plugin is enabled
2) The plugin order (in Plugin Manager) is set at 1 or any number greater than 1. Don't set it at 0.

Regards,
/kksou

DirectPHP not working in TinyMCE Editor 4 Years, 6 Months ago Karma: 0
Dear Moderator

i am a joomla beginner and am trying to integrate php in with joomla. Having read the forum I know this can be done, but like another member before me, i cannot get the tinymce editor to keep any php statements i type into an article.
I have installed the directphp plugin and it is enabled (green tick) and it has an order value of 2.
Upon entering a php statement into an article, i can preview it okay, yet when i apply or save it, the php statement vanishes.
I checked the parameter options in the editor itself, but nothing i've so far tried has helped in preserving my php.
Any helpful suggestions gratefully received.
Cheers,

Mark Weatherill.
p.s. apologies for repeating this problem!

* addphp.php located at http://www.run-digital.com/
* mossnippet.php located at http://www.kreacom.dk/mambots/mossnippet.html

Hi Folks!

Same problem at my site (see my question regarding Joomla 1.5.8).

As far as I found out the new Joomla 1.5.8 has changed the default behavior for user- and group rights. As the default now every user/group is one a "blacklist" and you have to sort out the rights to allow additions to the editor-content.

See here:
http://www.joomlafckeditor.com/forum?func=view&id=1618&catid=2#1618

I continue to investigate and will post as soon as I find out further details.

Greetings from Germany

DirectPHP not working in Joomla 1.5.8 4 Years, 6 Months ago Karma: 0
Hi kksou

i was wondering if you've had time for any further thought on why i can't get the default editor, tinymce, in my Joomla 1.5.8 version to preserve my inlined php statements?
In the meantime, i'm going to try disabling one-at-a-time each of the other plug-ins to see whether any of them may be responsible for stripping out the php.
Cheers for any helpful suggestions,

Mark Weatherill.

Hi All,

Sorry for the late reply. Was away on a business trip for the past few days, and there was no internet access.

I've just downloaded Joomla 1.5.8. True enough. It now strips away <?php.

While I can change <?php to {?php, any other HTML tags will also be stripped off, e.g. <br>, <p>, <table>, <tr>, <ul>, <li>, etc. Of course, I can change the program so that it parses {br}, {table}, etc. But I think you won't like it either.

Another solution is to change the core so that it doesn't strip away the HTML tags. However, again, there's another group of people that do not like changing the core.

I'm still not sure if there's any setting in Joomla 1.5.8 that allows you to bypass the stripping of the tags. If you find any, please share it with us.

I will try to dig around to see if I can find other solutions. In the mean time, if you really need to use DirectPHP, you can use the source mode to edit the code.

Will keep you posted as soon as I find a solution.

Regards,
/kksou
