This is raj from bangalore. I am new learner of joomla 1.5. I am building website www.bnagalorespice.com and want to implement the menu system of http://extensions.joomla.org/component/option,com_mtree/task,viewlink/link_id,4658/Itemid,35/

unfortunately this is only supported with j1.0. Can you help to get support of joomla 1.5?

The plugin version is done:
Accordion Menu Apple style

I thought a plugin is more useful, so I did the plugin version first. The main advantage of a plugin is that you can easily add the Accordion Menu to any content item or article.

If you want to use the Accordion Menu in module, for Joomla 1.0, you can easily create a custom module and add the menu definition in the Custom Output area. For Joomla 1.5, the HTML module is no longer processed by the content plugins. To resolve this, you could install a module called "CustomContent" by Ian MacLennan.

To save you the trouble of using this in a module, I'll develop a module version within the next 1 to 2 days.

I'll also add the other 2 Accordion Menu styles within the next 1 week.

Note that this module makes use of the Apple style Accordion Menu plugin. So please make sure you have installed the plugin too for this module to work.

Note also that I did not follow the same implementation as the module you've mentioned above:

That one converts the origianl mainmenu into the Accordion Menu. I thought it's more flexible to be able to define any menu items in the module or content item.

well I tried to install in my joomla server but i could not find the expected result( not in content part not module part.) I read each of ur instuction carefully and did so..

I guess i am doing in wrong direction or missing some steps...

Hi Raj,

If it doesn't work, the possibilities could be:
1) you did not enable or publish the plugin

2) The syntax of your menu definition is not correct

If you have a website with the menu definition cides inserted, please let me know the url. I will do a view source to see what might be the problem.
